Description:
This session is organized by the Household Water Insecurity Experiences Research Coordination Network (HWISE-RCN, online at hwise-rcn.org). We present research that engages and develops the complex ways in which household water insecurity intersects with other large processes and phenomena, including, but not limited to: climate change and health, other resource insecurities (food, energy, housing, etc.), mobility and migration, water sharing, water system reliability and predictability, trust in water providers and supplies, indigenous peoples and water insecurity, gender-based violence, and conflict and social mobilization. Studies may address household water insecurity in low-, medium-, or high-income settings. We welcome a broad array of theoretical and methodological approaches, and particularly encourage participation by early career scholars with new or preliminary research using innovative perspectives.
