Description:
In an effort to promote rural research in all arenas, the Rural Geography Specialty Group is sponsoring in-person and virtual poster sessions at the 2022 meeting. We are looking for research that includes rural themes from all sub-disciplines, including physical geography, economics, social issues, history, and technical topics. We especially encourage presenters and topics from underrepresented groups and approaches.
This session is being sponsored by the Rural Geography Specialty Group (RGSG). RGSG promotes research and education related to contemporary rural landscapes, societies, and economies in the developed and developing world. Specialty group members conduct research across an array of topics, including agriculture; land use; environmental governance; population; rural health, crime, and poverty; food systems; indigenous peoples; and rural restructuring processes.
