Description:
Transportation benefits urban residents by providing access to opportunities such as jobs, services, and health care. Meanwhile, it also creates negative externalities such as noise and air pollution that may be unequally distributed across population segments. This session presents four papers investigating the inequitable impacts of transportation, considering traditional modes such as public transit and emerging technologies such as micro-mobility and electrified vehicles.
