Abstract
The need for social distancing raised much interest in the use of spatial optimization for capacity assessment, particularly for educational and entertainment venues. Geographic information for indoor environments is generally lacking, yet analysis needs to be carried out using the best available sources of data and supporting analytical methods. This paper offers an overview of approaches to support detailed social distancing evaluation. This is followed by an assessment utilizing high-resolution LiDAR information to examine aspects of spatial and modeling uncertainty.
