Description:
Human society has been evolving in the distribution and composition of its population and related socio-economic and demographic characteristics, while constantly exhibiting great vulnerability to natural hazards and epidemics. How has the vulnerability of human society been affected by the ever-changing human population dynamics? This session seek papers that help better understand both the spatio-temporal human population dynamics and social vulnerability. Full papers are invited to submit to a special issue on "Spatial and Temporal Analyses of Human Population Dynamics and Social Vulnerability" in International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, https://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijerph/special_issues/30FIZ5H44C
This session is a part of the Geospatial Health Research Symposium, which is organized by the Health and Medical Geography Specialty Group. This yearly symposium aims to bring together national and international scholars, practitioners, and policy makers from different specialties, institutions, sectors, and continents to share ideas, findings, methodologies, and technologies, and to establish and strengthen personal connections, communication channels, and research collaborations. For more information about the symposium, please feel free to contact Paul Delamater at pld@email.unc.edu.
