Description:
Since its outbreak in late 2019, COVID-19 has been spreading across and within cities around the world; while posing crippling challenges to their public health systems. In order to come up with better tackling and managing strategies for potential future waves of COVID-19, it is of great importance for policy makers to have understandings over the transmission path and infection risk of COVID-19 as well as effective responses to COVID-19 outbreaks in different urban settings. This virtual session aims to be the place where scholars can share their recent studies concerning the transmission, infection, response aspects of COVID-19 in urban contexts.
This session is part of the AAG Symposium on Geospatial Approaches to Pressing Grand Challenges: Global Pandemics, Climate Change, and Food Security.
