Abstract
The Newcastle pneumonia epidemic has posed a great threat and challenge to medical facilities in China, and it is important to optimise the layout of medical facilities with a public health orientation. In this paper, five types of public facilities, including large shopping centres, food markets, primary and secondary schools, fire stations and waste transfer stations, were used as influencing factors to evaluate the rationality of the layout of medical facilities from a health-oriented perspective, taking into account the service attributes of medical facilities and the characteristics of the transmission of NCCP virus. The results show that: (i) the distribution of tertiary hospitals in Hefei is uneven, and the overall layout is "core-periphery", with tertiary hospitals within the Second Ring Road rated lower than those in peripheral areas; (ii) the location of large shopping centres and primary and secondary schools has the greatest influence on the layout of tertiary hospitals; (iii) the rationality of the layout of the 24 tertiary hospitals is in line with the objective law of normal distribution. (3) The reasonable layout of the 24 tertiary hospitals is in line with the objective law of normal distribution, which can distinguish the risk of epidemic transmission among tertiary hospitals and provide a reference basis for the evaluation of the layout of tertiary hospitals and the selection of sites for future construction.
