Description:
Urban living environment has been closely linked with the health and welfare of its residents. Nevertheless, challenges posed by global pandemics, climate change and population aging have required new insights about our urban living environment and innovative ways to improve it. The advent of fine-grained spatial data as well as advanced geospatial analytical methods have enabled researchers to conduct studies that can better inform policy makers regarding the barriers faced by residents in having better living environment and potential solutions for those issues. This session is aimed at scholars who are interested in presenting their studies on obtaining new insights into the urban living environment based on the strength of the state-of-the-art geospatial technologies.
This session is part of the AAG Symposium on Geospatial Approaches to Pressing Grand Challenges: Global Pandemics, Climate Change, and Food Security.
