Description:
Transportation and mobility justice has become a mainstream research topic within transportation geography worldwide over the last twenty years, although there is a much longer historical trajectory for the study of transport inequalities dating back to the early 1970s. The theoretical and empirical studies in the field are both wide-ranging and multi-disciplinary, reflecting the many complex and disparate challenges that are associated with mobility justice. This international panel of research experts on transport inequalities and social justice in a variety of geographical contexts will reflect upon some of its main achievements over the last ten years and address the question: Now that the topic has been mainstreamed within transport geography, what next for transport and mobility justice research in the coming five years?
