Abstract
This preliminary study will build on previous studies that have investigated tourism consumption factors and restaurant price differentiation. This study delineates three geographic areas based on proximity to tourist attractions in Florence and analyzes the pricing of a popular food item across these zones, as well as reasoning for any significant differences in price. Data for this study was accumulated through in-person visitation of dining establishments, as well as a thorough analysis of restaurant websites and online menus.
