Description
The hydroclimatology sessions broadly welcome papers focusing on water in the climate system and/or interactions between the hydrologic cycle and the land surface. The Hydroclimatology I session focuses on any aspect of hydroclimatology, including measurement/observation, analysis, modeling and remote sensing of various aspects of precipitation (both rain and snow), soil moisture, evapotranspiration, runoff and stream flow. Anticipated topics include advances in monitoring, modeling or predicting hydroclimatic conditions, including extreme conditions. Anticipated data sources include observations, regional to global scale models, reanalysis, and remote sensing. All methodologies in use in hydroclimatological research are welcome, as are a variety of scales and multiscalar approaches. Detailed information regarding registration, abstract submission, and other pertinent items can be found on the web page of the Association of American Geographers (http://www.aag.org). For those wishing to participate in the Hydroclimatology session, please submit 1) a copy of your abstract, 2) your presenter identification number (PIN), and 3) your preference to participate in the in-person session or the virtual session, no later than October 29th to one of the following:
