Abstract
This poster highlights a collaborative project between Rowan University Geospatial Research Lab and NJ State Agricultural Development Committee (SADC). The project analyzes all preserved farmland in New Jersey using aerial imagery, Google Earth and Google Street View. The analysis will support acquisition of farmland into the preservation program and stewardship of properties that have already been successfully preserved. The interactive map and tools for data development and editing are accessible within a web browser using javascript, PostGreSQL, and AWS platform. It was developed from the foundational technology used to create NJ MAP (https://www.njmap2.com/), a web-based geospatial mapping application created by Rowan’s Geospatial Research Lab and will be freely accessible to the general public.
