Abstract
Som Naidu (2017) describes flexible learning, as “a state of being in which learning and teaching is increasingly freed from the limitations of the time, place, and pace of study.” The use of flexible learning strategies, assignments, and assessments in higher education geography increases students' engagement in course content and also leads to improved student success. The use of films from around the world provides a medium for local and situated knowledges to enter the classroom and expand the course curricula.
