Abstract
White’s Woods Nature Center is a 248-acre woodland lot located in Indiana County, PA. On three occasions (1995, 2007-08, 2020-22) the Township has proposed timbering the White’s Woods Nature Center, using as justification a variety of rationales, none supported by experts or the community. This precious woodland lot has also been infested with a variety of invasive plant species, only suspected to increase in population after timbering. This poster presentation will analyze population dynamics and map distribution of Berberis Thunbergii (Japanese Barberry) in White’s Woods.
