Abstract
In the digital age, information on the internet is how truth is registered: an online menu is what a restaurant will serve, a listed telephone number will connect you to a person, an address will direct you to a location. However, this information is not always current, or true. Link rot is the phenomenon in which a website has not been kept accurate, and so a link will lead you nowhere. Then, location rot must be the occurrence of when a digital address is no longer–or never was–correct, either by negligence or deliberate means. This poster will explore this phenomena in Southern Californian DOW Chemical facilities and offices through a critical GIS lens.
