Abstract
In recent decades, through the increasing employed population moves into Neihu region, which brings the numerous of commuting population. However, the rail transport in the Neihu region was lack of effective capacity to transport these commuters, its cause a traffic congestion in Neihu region, especially in Neihu technology park. Therefore, when seeking a traffic congestion solution from public transit, the bus will be more suitable than rail transport.
With the advanced of GPS, ITS research and wireless communication technology, and also the positive attitudes toward open data from the government, we could retrieve a big amount of traffic data, one of these are Smart Card Data(SCD).
From the previous research of the commuting, the SCD would be a good material to analyze the commuting pattern. To analyze the commuting pattern in Neihu region, two methods are adopted. First, using clustering analyze to classifications the commuter type from the SCD, secondly using association rule to find out each commuter type of frequent travel station. Through these two methods, we could establish the bus commuting pattern of Neihu technology park.
This study can provide an opinion for the traffic division, which can be used in bus route or timetable planning, thereby, improve the traffic congestion in the Neihu technology park.
