Abstract
Geographical studies of leisure time and Generation Z are neglected strands in the literature. Researchers point to the need to explain how communities use space in leisure activities. The boundaries between leisure spaces are blurred in today's post-industrial and global society. Hence the emergence of hybrid leisure spaces that are between "physical" and "virtual" dimension. It means that leisure research need take into consideration more abstract spaces. This issue particularly affects young people belonging to Generation Z, who are increasingly becoming addicted to the Internet, smartphones and social media. Their leisure spaces blend in the physical and virtual space.
This study aims to characterize leisure spaces in the context of the leisure behavior of Polish Generation Z. The analysis includes geo surveys with 8768 representatives of Generation Z from Polish cities.
