Abstract
Covid has altered education, with both teachers and students now possessing greater technology skills that have transformed how we are interacting with information. To keep student attention it is necessary to shift the classroom structure to place students in greater leadership roles. To better ensure teachers keep up with students, it is necessary students be encouraged to present and share information beyond the skills the teacher possesses. Integrating student advocacy and outreach into student assignments provides opportunities for both of these scenerios. This paper presents activities from Introductory Human and Physical Geography courses, as well as Sustainability Studies courses, and also suggests potentials for greater development.
