Abstract
This research analyzes the impacts that agroforestry has on the nutritional yield of Moroccan farms and quantify it as an alternative measurement to metrics such as weight for agricultural productivity. The fruits produced by trees on farms that practice agroforestry provide nutritional benefits that supplement the raw caloric value of other crops that are grown and typically used to measure a farm’s productivity. While there have been studies about the benefits of practicing agroforestry with respect to biodiversity and resilience, there is little published literature that connects agroforestry and the nutrition. This research provides succinct information that explicitly focuses on agroforestry’s nutritional yield as an indicator of farms’ productivity and will allow for further exploration of the topic through future studies.
