Abstract
Women, as a half sky, played vital roles in humanity. Unlike feminist standpoints, this paper will use qualitative GIS analysis to reappear Texas women's diverse difficulties in Civil war. Its intention is to commemorate women struggling to obtain the equality of their civil rights during civil war in Texas. This paper will not only address a series of historical Feminist evolutionism on contemporary debates on conjugality, motherhood, and work, but it also will answer why Texas women were an in extremely vulnerable and precarious position under patriarchy during civil war? how many historical markers are related to women’s liberation in Texas in civil war and out of civil war? How to conduct semantic ontology of Texas women’s rights with the combination of bibliometrics and place-based GIS? What is going on Texas women in education in recent year? This study will reflect the promotion of social recognition of women’s value by shedding light on current female teacher increase in public higher education. It facilitates the understanding and visualization of Feminist Geography, leads to an increased awareness of the importance of geography from across the discipline of history, and introduces historical GIS and critically evaluates how it is affecting the practice of historical geography.
