Description:
This session invites participants to share ideas, incitements, and reflections on abolition in a global or transnational contexts. As Ruth Wilson Gilmore reminds us, abolition must be red, green and international. Moving beyond a Turtle Island or case study framework, we invite reflections that offer ways we can understand international linkages of cops, militaries, and non-state security practices and networks war machinery. We especially welcome meditations on the historical and emergent links between anti-colonial, anti-imperial, and abolitionist struggles and solidarities.
