Description:
This session is to present and stimulate discussion of the accomplishments and remaining challenges of improving our understanding of the food system, built environment, and health, and their interactions. Topics may include, but are not limited to:
-Disparities in food access, built environment, and health;
-Methods for assessing food system, built environment, and health
-Interaction of food environment and built environment with socioeconomic factors
-Relationships and patterns between food, urban design, and health;
-Data science approaches, including statistics, data mining, and machine learning, to address issues within the food system, built environment, and health.
-Policies related to food, environment, and health;
This session welcomes papers on all aspects of the food, environment, as well as health and medical geography and their intersections with other branches of geography and other social sciences disciplines.
