Abstract
In metropolitan France, the airport landscape is made up of Parisian airports, regional airports and a large number of airports, described as "small", "local" or "secondary". The airports Traditionally, the role of these airports was to ensure the political and economic relations of the territories they serve with Paris. But the secondary airport landscape has since diversified, the result of various trajectories. The trajectories can be illuminated by the upheavals linked to the liberalization of the European sky (development of low-cost carriers, the disappearance of the French public service model of air service to the territory...). However, we question the extent to which territorial factors - the characteristics of the local economic environment and the airport governance - can also explain airport trajectories.
