Description:
The past decades have witnessed a rapid expansion of entrepreneurship and supporting institutions (e.g. states, universities, investors, NGOs). Entrepreneurship and its promotion happen through multiple connected sites and scales, from neighborhood entrepreneurial infrastructure, to entrepreneurial ecosystems, regional political-economic formations, Global Production Networks, and transnational migratory flows. The “go global” efforts of start-ups and supporting institutions transcend geographical boundaries, and have contributed to regional industrial upgrading through strategic coupling.
