Abstract

Radical Geography. Did someone write about Radical Geography?

I know about that. I was there when the fire started. ... some accused me of starting the fire. Not true, but I was certainly one of the sparks. Fifty years ago. Ann Arbor, 1969. Where the anvil was struck.

In consequence of that initial blaze we have this book to commemorate the 50 years since the first issue of Antipode: A Radical Journal of Geography. There is something very self congratulatory in this volume and indeed in this personal review of a history in which I was participant. For scholars of the history of geography it is a must have. Additionally there are a clutch of reviews of this book which I will also review from my post on Ghost Mountain. I only have 15 minutes so I better make it real.
