Description:
Exploring Community, Place, and Justice across the Clean Energy Transition
Join us to explore the role of community and place to produce an equitable, clean energy transition. Drawing on work from his early career research to his current role at the Department of Energy, Dr. Reames will discuss how these critical themes inform our understanding of energy justice.
The plenary will highlight the spatial dimensions of energy inequality, and the need for place-based interventions to support communities most impacted by our energy system. Dr. Reames will conclude by outlining his current role at the Department of Energy while detailing efforts to shape the equitable deployment of federal investments through the Justice40 Initiative
